The TelePeds Program allows 24/7 access to pediatric emergency physicians for case discussion and management

With the help of innovative technology solutions, via telehealth (telePedEM), our pediatric emergency medicine specialists are able to aid in the treatment of children and offer their expertise to the patients, family and the local care team in the most concerning of times. The utilization of our telePedEM program enhances the on-site pediatric staff in their ability to treat these young patients. Telemedicine will enable our pediatric emergency medicine providers to project their specialized knowledge and skill set beyond the walls of Wolfson Children’s Hospital and raise the bar for pediatric emergency medicine.

What is it?

This program is a way for our board certified Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians to team with our partnering hospitals to provide real time care for pediatric patients outside of the walls of Wolfson Children's Hospital.

How does it work?

Easy 3 Step Process

  1. Distant site has clinical question and telemedicine consult is placed.
  2. Immediate live case discussion and/or evaluation by pediatric emergency physician.
  3. Recommendations rendered and disposition determined.
