Northeast Florida State Hospital
ERG provides primary care physicians to staff the holiday coverage at Northeast Florida State Hospital, a state mental hospital, located in Macclenny, Florida, 45 minutes west of Jacksonville.
The hospital currently operates 553 beds and has been treating mentally ill patients on its 310 acre campus for over 48 years.
ERG’s primary care physicians provide on campus call coverage during the nights, weekends and holidays for the hospital’s daytime primary care staff.
They round on patients, treat them in the emergency clinic, and help transport more acute cases to nearby hospitals, if necessary.
